KarsJapan Flat Fee includes the following costs:
  1. Auction Fee (We have to instantly pay the auction fee to the auction house)
  2. Customs clearance in Japan
  3. Freight Forwarder Fee (Handling fee at the port of loading)
  4. De-registration of vehicle for shipping
  5. Arrangement of inland transport from auction house to the closest port of loading.
  6. Arrangement of shipping documents
Note: Ocean Fright Fee is not included in our Flat Fee.

10,000 JPY will be subtracted from Flat Fee for below 100,000 JPY of vehicle.

Luxury vehicle surcharge will be added on Flat Fee.

1,000,001 JPY to 2,000,000 JPY 1.0% of vehicle Price
2,000,001 JPY to 3,000,000 JPY 1.5% of vehicle Price
3,000,001 JPY to 4,000,000 JPY 2.0% of vehicle Price
4,000,001 JPY to 5,000,000 JPY 3.0% of vehicle Price
Over 5,000,001 JPY 4.0% of vehicle Price
Note:
1.
Above Flat Fee are applied to Ro-Ro shipping. For container shipping, additional charges are required (20,000 JPY - 30,000 JPY / car), such as Vanning(Packing) Fee, or Lashing Charge.
2.
JAAI or JEVIC pre-shipment certificate
>> Approx. 13,000 JPY + extra transport fee / car
The government of Kenya, Tanzania, Mauritius, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and some other countries requires pre-shipment inspection certificate for the used vehicles to be imported to their countries. Without pre-shipment inspection, the consignee will be required to pay a penalty.
3. JEVIC odometer inspection >> 7,000JPY / car.
Odometer verification inspection is available at an extra cost.
Vehicle Price
Vehicle price means that actual purchasing price from the auction house.
Note:
Please be aware of that we never charge Japanese consumption tax (5% on the purchase of a vehicle) and recycling fee to buyer if sales of goods are treated as an export transaction.
Inland Transport Fee
The transportation to the closest port of loading from auction house will be arranged after your bid is successful. The following inland transport fees are applied for vehicles of regular size up to 12.0m3 only. The vehicles of bigger size such as 12.1m3 - 15m3 are added on 20% to below costs. For more big size or special vehicles such as trucks, buses, and unmovable vehicles, please contact us.
